The Results of the Brexit were highly interesting. Indeed, England and Wales voted largely in favor of the “OUT” while Scotland and Northern Ireland voted largely in favor of “Remain”. Scotland , which already proposed a referendum on independance and secession from the United Kingdom in 2015 , is now seeking to leave the United Kindgom and join the EU.

Scottish Bid for independance in 2015

Scotland voted in favour of the UK staying in the EU by 62% to 38%. They clearly wants to stay in the Eurozone for various reasons. The main reasons are financial , indeed Scottish Banks are highly linked to Europeans Banks. The Scottish leader that was previously pushing for independance. Nicola Sturgeon claimed that they would soon organize a Second Referendum. This Time the result of the referendum should be Different

Scottish Leaders in Quest of Respect

Scottish leaders have always tried to get more autonomy and more respect from the old ennemy England. The Scottish leader Nicola Sturgeon , now has an historical opportunity to change things. The  opportunity to make Scotland independant again. Indeed she represent the interestes of the people of Scotland and this people express their opinions during the last vote. She even declared : ” I intend to take all possible steps and explore all possible options to give effect to how people in Scotland voted – in other words to secure our continuing place in the EU, and in the single market in particular.”

The end of Union Jack?

If there is a second referendum , and that Scotland was about to leave the Union Jack.  There is a high probability that Wales and Northern Ireland would follow in the coming years. Indeed England has always opposed that any of this nation leave the Union , but if Scotland bid for independance works , it would means that Union Jack is no longer relevant and that the historical connections between the British People has been transcended by a European Idendity symbolized by the EU. Additionally these nations feel much more closer to Europeans than to the Americans. England has always been traditionally very close from the Americans , and after they left Europe they will seek to negotiatiate a Strong Partnership with the Americans.
