Young Diplomats
The leaders of tomorrow
I am an 18-year-old recent high school graduate from Uzbekistan — a country located in the heart of Central Asia, bordering all five regional states and Afghanistan. Despite my young age, I have long been engaged in raising awareness and advocating for political reform, human rights, freedom of speech, and democratic change, especially under the constraints of an authoritarian environment.
In my country, the judiciary lacks independence, pressures against independent journalists and bloggers are growing, and basic human rights are often violated. Witnessing this firsthand has pushed me to act.
Over the past few years, I have supported opposition parties in Uzbekistan, raised awareness about the struggles faced by the LGBTQ+ community, and helped provide legal and moral support where possible. I now seek to expand my activism by joining a movement where I can speak the truth, stand up for silenced voices, and contribute to meaningful change.
I believe that by working with this team, we can begin to bring powerful transformation to Central Asia and beyond.
