The purpose of YoungDiplomats
Hello readers !
As you all know YoungDiplomats has one purpose : dispense knowledge on geopolitics. Indeed the members of our teams write articles and organize events in order to make people understand our world.
Our structure
YoungDiplomats has a very specific structure. At the top of the pyramid, the Committee is composed of three people : David, the founder/president; Noam, the vice President; and Idriss, who is also the Director of YD Africa. The Committee holds the power of impulsion. This structure allows YoungDiplomats to be efficient and consistent. The Committee recruits what we call the Directors.
The Directors have a fundamental role : they implement YoungDiplomats in their respective country. For instance, Claudia, the Director of YD Australia publicizes the association in Australia. Besides, she organizes events, writes articles and recruit Development managers in the Australian universities.
Our events
Secondly, YoungDiplomats has given itself another mission : living with the times. What does it mean ? It means that we want to make people love geopolitics. Indeed, our events are modern and pedagogical.
The cafe-debats
This form of event is very basic. The idea is to gather less than ten people and to talk about a topic.
The partnerships
Partnerships are also a good way to make YoungDiplomats greater ! Our Directors build a network of partnerships. Consequently, our audience is getting larger and larger !
On the pictures above, Claudia, the Director of YD Australia visited the famous Lowy Institute with her team! It’s an amazing way to make YoungDiplomats known. Then, it allows her team members to meet people interested by politics and international relations.
Mustafa, our leader in Turkey, went to the World Forum on behalf of YoungDiplomats ! Furthermore, Mustafa is currently working on a partnership with the Bosphorus Center for Asian Studies (BAAM).
Every year, our brilliant Director of YD Africa, Idriss, does the youth olympic games. This amazing event is the result of a partnership with the city of N’djamena ! YoungDiplomats truly believes that peace can come from sport.
Special events
Special events give YoungDiplomats a very interesting image. It shows the whole world that our members can think outside the box. Indeed, it’s a sign that we want to attract everyone by any means, and that’s the message of YoungDiplomats. No matter who you are and where you come from, you are also concerned by what happens in the world !
On the pictures above, Claudia did a specific event in her university : did Trump tweet that tweet ? This event was a clear success in the UNSW !
David, the Founder and President of YoungDiplomats did organize a Model United Nation conference to find a solution to the Kurdish crisis. Each member represented a specific country.
Conferences
Conferences are paramount to focus on a topic. It allows to gather specialists and politics and to explain something.
Idriss, the Director of YoungDiplomats Africa is doubtlessly the most prominent member of the association. He led a conference on youth in Africa and met numerous officials.
In France, Noam, the Vice President of YoungDiplomats did a conference on Kurdistan after the fall of Afrin in 2018.
